The Challenge: Moving Out-of-Gauge Freight
Each pipe measured twelve metres in length, roughly one metre in diameter, and weighed around four tonnes. Cargo of this scale is classified as out-of-gauge (OOG) freight. It cannot simply be loaded onto a standard trailer and driven away. Oversized cargo transport in Saudi Arabia requires specialised flatbed and lowbed trailers, engineered load distribution, detailed route surveys, and exceptional cargo permits from the Transport General Authority.
The Solution: Engineered Heavy Haul Logistics
Moving this volume of oversized freight from a major Red Sea port to the country’s interior meant coordinating long-distance routes, strict safety compliance, and tight delivery windows, without compromise. Our project logistics team managed every stage:
